F basses are set up with "F Bass" strings in the following gauges:
.C .029", G .043", D .063", A .085", E .102", B .128"

These are “exposed core” strings with a short length over the saddle that is thinner in diameter than the rest of the string providing a looser feel and a cleaner fundamental.

BODY/TOP
*All tops include matching head & heel veneers (a $650 value)
**These prices seem high, but they reflect the amount of labour required to bend and glue the top to the carved contours of the body, the head veneer to the curved headstock, match the heel veneers and cut the matching pick-up covers from the top.

These prices were also adjusted to ease the complicated pricing of all the separate options; once a "street price" is given by a dealer, the price of a "topped" bass is only 10-14% higher than previous prices.
